FINAL PROJECT!!!

INTRODUCTION
The topic of this microteaching is “What's your favourite type of story?” and it is addressed to children aged between 10 and 12 (third key stage). The activities will be developed in two sessions of one hour each one.  The lessons will be embraced through the four skills: Listening, speaking, reading and writing.

AIMS
·          To create an original digital story through the web of British Council.
·          To improve the four main skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking).
·         To work the structure of the past simple regular and irregular.
·         To check the students correct comprehension of the story.
·         To use the imagination and creativity.
·         To work the vocabulary related to the stories.
·         To work with TIC (Blogger, web side).

CONTENTS
Past simple regular and irregular affirmative, present simple and complements of time and place.

METHODOLOGY

The activity may be done in the computer room individually or in pairs. It can also be done in the classroom. To develop this microteaching we are going to use the Storymaker site from the British Council web side which offers
the students the possibility of creating their own story. They are also going to work with blogger as a basic tool of communication and expression.

Developing the session 1:
Pre-activity:  In order to introduce the topic, first the teacher will explain children how to create their own story with Storymaker site from the British Council web page. The teacher will use a projector to show them how to do it correctly.

Activity 1: In this activity each children will create their own story with Storymaker site from the British Council web page. The Story Maker makes three different types of story: fairy stories, horror stories and science-fiction. So, the students will choose their favourite type of story and will follow the instruction of the web. This is a reading activity to be done individually in the computer room.



Activity 2: Once the students have created their own stories, they will post it in their personal blogger. The teacher will solve the student’s doubts or problems. This is a reading activity.  
 


 





Developing the session 2:
Activity 1:  In this activity each children will read their story to the rest of the class. This is a listening, reading and speaking activity to be done will the whole group.  
Activity 2:  In order to do this activity, the students will be sitting in pairs. The activity will consist in inventing the title of the story of your partner and then post it in their blogger. After that, they will give their opinion about the story of their partner. This is reading and writing activity.

Optional activity:
To develop this activity, first of all the students will choose one or two stories of their classmates. The activity will consist in acting out the stories. Moreover, we can record the performances and post it later in the blogs.
